Matt and Steph's Sturbridge Village Engagement Session

January 28, 2017

19th Century houses, farms and workshops, horse and buggy carriages and men and woman adorned in historical clothing of the same time. This is what you see when you enter Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge, MA. It is the largest outdoor living history museum in New England and takes you back to a time when things were all done by hand. This is where Matt and Steph are getting married in a few months and also where we are doing their Engagement Session. Keeping with the old 19th century theme, the happy couple have asked me to do a second set of photos in addition to their regular ones. These photos will feature them in full historical clothing and accessories. The clothing and hats were created by Steph's mother specifically for the photo shoot and I have to say, I was very impressed! Many times it was hard for Matt and Steph to keep up with the straight faces while in their costumes, but they pulled it off! You can see how much fun we had doing this Engagement Session and how they were willing to do anything - including getting as close as they could to the horses!

Here are the old fashioned photos!
