LEGOS!
August 29, 2017
Who doesn't like LEGOs?! I loved them as a kid and and still do as an adult so when Jo-Ann from Engineering Action asked me to take some photos for her, of course I said yes! Engineering Action specializes in robotics using LEGOs, providing "exciting hands-on engineering and science programming for both children and adults". The photos below are some of the LEGO set ups Jo-Ann will use in the instruction sheets for the LEGO robotics classes she teaches, called Lego Engineering. It was so fun to watch how each LEGO Robot was set up step by step. There were five of them that I photographed and they used LEGO bricks, motors and gears...which means they move! I also went to one of the classes and took photos of the kids in action. This particular one was for children ages 6-8. I loved being able to document them really getting into the projects. There was an option of adding your own audio to the robots and I'm sure you can imagine the audio a child of their age might create. They were all adorable and it was hard not to laugh the whole time! Jo-Ann, who was the lead instructor, and her two assistants were just as excited as the kids when they finished their robots. If you are interested in signing one of your kids up for this fun Lego experience head on over to the Engineering Action website. They provide classes, parties, camps and more!
