Salem, MA is a great historical city full of character. There's the downtown area with lots of cool shops, restaurants and architecture, plus the ocean only a few miles away. It was the perfect place for Kristle and Jerry's Engagement Session. We did the shoot in November, after all the Halloween festivities, so we would have plenty of space to shoot. It was a slightly cold day, especially with the wind, but the sun was on our side and there was plenty of it to stay warm. Kristle and Jerry were full of giggles during their session. At one point a fisherman's boat sailed by when we were taking photos on a dock next to the ocean. In classic Massachusetts accents the three fishermen kept yelling things like..."What is this? A photo shoot goin' on here?" and "Get a room!" followed by big belly laughs. It was pretty hilarious and we had to take a moment to compose ourselves. Can you tell which photos they are laughing from the fishermen in? When we were finishing up the shoot I saw a black metal door in one of the brick buildings that looked like the door to a dungeon. Perfect photo opportunity! "Pretend you're Scully and Mulder on X Files, but you're afraid of what's behind the door!", I told Kristle and Jerry. It was a great way to end the session!
